AB 109 Task Force Arrests Ex-Felon

On March 14, the Glendale Police Department AB 109 Task Force conducted a probation compliance check in the 6700 block of Saint Esteban Street in the City of Tujunga. Glendale officers were conducting a compliance check involving 55-year-old Levon Vardanyan, a convicted felon on probation for fraud, with search conditions. The AB 109 Team learned Vardanyan was recently issued a citation for not displaying license plates on his vehicle in the City of Glendale, and he had an extensive criminal history with 26 felony arrests.
Glendale officers located and detained Vardanyan at his residence on Saint Esteban and conducted a search of his residence. At the conclusion of the compliance check, officers recovered four assault rifles, three shotguns, and a .45 caliber handgun. Several high capacity magazines were recovered, along with over 1,000 rounds of ammunition.

Vardanyan was placed under arrest and booked for being an ex-felon in possession of firearms. A probation violation was imposed.
