Likes the Median Project
The medians project along Foothill has been well thought out, well communicated to everyone who wants to be informed, and is being carefully and efficiently accomplished. The temporary striping is well-done and helpful. The crews are working seven days a week. The medians will be beautiful and a welcome addition to our dreary section of Foothill, compared to the La Cañada portion.
With a little planning and patience, it’s easy to drive from Briggs to Pennsylvania without driving on Foothill.

Questions Passage of SB 1100
So, Gov. Brown has signed SB 1100, sponsored by Senator Anthony Portantino (D-25). It raises the minimum age to purchase a long gun from 18 years old to 21 years old. This denies young adults their ability to exercise their constitutional rights. Instead of focusing on the criminal misuse of firearms, the California legislature continues to focus its attention on restricting the rights of law-abiding Californians.
I have seen many articles and statements by our elite politicians that citizens in the 18- through 20-year range do not have the maturity to own a firearm. Very interesting that these same 18- through 20-year-olds are considered mature enough to vote for these same politicians and the men must register for the draft, too. I think that the age limit to vote and register for the draft be raised to 21. After all, who wants immature people voting for those who have so much sway over our lives?
Also, I do not want people who are not old enough to own a .22 rifle defending the country and have access to the military’s powerful weapons.
When I was drafted I was 22. So too were most of the others in our basic training company.
