Plan for Tree Lighting Ceremony
La Cañada Girl Scouts will be hosting the 23rd Annual Glenola Tree Lighting ceremony on Thursday, Dec. 6. The event will begin at 6:15 p.m. and end at 7:30 p.m. and will feature various Girl Scout troops singing holiday carols emceed by the La Cañada City mayor and leading up to the illumination of the Glenola Christmas Tree. Members of the City Council, local businesses, the Kiwanis Club, Friends of Glenola Park and the fire and the sheriff stations will take part in starting the holiday season.
Glenola Park is located at 5200 Angeles Crest Hwy, La Cañada Flintridge.

Girls Fire Camp
The City of Glendale’s Commission on the Status of Women has partnered with the Glendale Fire Dept. to present the Girls Fire Camp on Saturday, Nov. 3.
Teens ages 14 to 18 can experience one of Glendale’s bravest jobs in a one-day program taught by the GFD. The program will run from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Glendale Fire Training Center, 541 W. Chevy Chase Drive in Glendale.
