Last Saturday at Two Strike Park, families gathered for the treasured Winter tradition of playing in the snow. But in the Crescenta Valley, with temperatures comfortably in the 60°’s, playing in the snow is a rare treat. The Los Angeles County Department of Parks and Recreation hosted a Snow Day by having ice brought in and shredded into snow for local families to come and enjoy.
In addition to the sledding run sliding down the hill, there were two snow fields for making snowmen and having snowball fights, and a chance to meet Santa Claus for a photo op and imparting a Christmas wish.
