On Feb. 21, Pasadena-Foothills Association of REALTORS® (PFAR) kicked-off its first quarterly membership event of the year to a packed house at the Altadena Town and Country Club. California Association of REALTORS® Senior Vice President & General Counsel June Barlow was on hand to deliver the latest legal changes affecting real estate professionals, with an emphasis on risk and team management.

Barlow’s presentation highlighted the housing shortage, the Accessory Dwelling Unit (ADU) issue, along with a special emphasis on industry tools to fight cyber security and wire fraud.

Government Affair director Laura-Olhasso.

“Personal information doesn’t have to be a social security number. Anything that ties you to your home can be used,” said Barlow. “Be careful how you store your information.”

During the evening’s festivities, PFAR announced its PUSD REALTOR® Certification Program, a partnership with the Pasadena Educational Foundation (PEF) and the Pasadena Education Network (PEN). Details about the new PUSD program are forthcoming.
