La Cañada Flintridge resident Sean King, Class of 2020 at Connecticut College in New London, has been named to the dean’s list for the 2018 fall semester, achieving dean’s honors. King is a computer science major.

Tufts University in Medford/Somerville, Massachusetts recently announced the dean’s list for the fall 2018 semester. Among students earning dean’s list honors are: Charlotte Leis, Ryan Newquist, Katharine Pinney and Kevin Sung from La Cañada Flintridge and Leo Mandani from La Crescenta.
Dean’s list honors at Tufts University require a semester grade point average of 3.4 or greater.

Several local residents made the academic deans’ list at Azusa Pacific University. These students are honored for a fall 2018 grade point average of 3.5 or better. They are joined by 1,976 students receiving the same honor.

Elizabeth Toomarian of La Cañada graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, School of Education, with a doctorate of philosophy, educational psychology.
More than 3,320 students received degrees from the University during the winter commencement ceremony on Dec. 16. About 1,300 graduates took part.

Richard Hathaway of La Cañada Flintridge was named to the dean’s list for the fall 2018 semester at Washington University in St. Louis. Hathaway is enrolled in the university’s College of Arts & Sciences.
To qualify for the dean’s list in the College of Arts & Sciences, students must earn a semester grade point average of 3.6 or above and be enrolled in at least 14 graded units.

Harvard-Westlake School graduate Katie Kim of La Cañada Flintridge, a member of the Colgate Class of 2022 and a classics major, and Capistrano Connections Academy graduate Colin Apel of La Cañada Flintridge, a member of the Colgate Class of 2021 and a biology major, earned the fall 2018 Dean’s Award for Academic Excellence. To earn the award, students must have a term grade point average of 3.3 or higher while completing at least three courses for a conventional letter grade.
Colgate offers 56 majors to a student body of approximately 2,900 undergraduate students and it supports 25 Division I athletic teams. The university’s 575-acre campus in rural central New York is renowned for its beauty and for the important role it plays in the student experience.

Aidan Phillips of La Cañada Flintridge has been placed on the Gettysburg College deans’ commendation list for outstanding academic achievement in the fall 2018 semester.
Students with a quality point average in the range of 3.300 to 3.599 for a semester’s work are placed on the college’s deans’ commendation list.
Founded in 1832, Gettysburg College in Pennsylvania is a highly selective four-year residential college of liberal arts and sciences with a strong academic tradition.

Danielle Comorre of Tujunga earned a place on the Endicott College dean’s list for fall 2018. In order to qualify for the dean’s list, a student must obtain a minimum grade point average of 3.5, receive no grade below a C, have no withdrawal grades, and be enrolled in a minimum of 12 credits for the semester.
Comorre is majoring in bioengineering and is the daughter of Dan Comorre and Estelita Comorre.
