This Week at LCIF

Join Lutheran Church in the Foothills as hearts are prepared for Easter during Holy Week – all are welcome!

Tonight, Thursday, April 18, celebrate communion at the traditional Maundy Thursday service at 7 p.m.

On Friday, April 19 at 7 p.m. the Anthem Chorale will lead the Good Friday Meditation through Music.

On Easter Sunday, April 21, there will be a special brunch at 8:30 a.m., an egg hunt at 9:30 a.m., and the Resurrection Celebration at 10 a.m. Pastor Scott will lead this time of worship with a sermon on “Proclamation.”

Walk and Word

Spend time Sunday mornings discovering Scripture while hiking Deukmejian Park. Participants meet at 8 a.m. at the parking lot (3429 Markridge Road, La Crescenta) on all but the first Sunday of each month.

Hike for an hour, then journal and share for an hour about a selection of Scripture. All are invited who feel drawn to this alternative spiritual activity under the guidance of CV United Methodist Church lay minister Jeanne Lavieri.

For those interested but unable to hike, several picnic tables with wheelchair access are available.

Free Easter Egg Hunt

CVCHURCH is hosting its annual free Easter egg hunts on Saturday, April 20 Two Strike Park. There will be two hunts; one at 10 a.m. and the other at 10:30 a.m. Free candy! Free pictures with the Easter bunny!

Events at Bethel Church

Bethel Church is offers Holy Week services: Good Friday communion service is on April 19 at 8 p.m.; and April 21 Easter sunrise service is at 7:30 a.m. followed by free fellowship breakfast at 8:45 a.m., worship and praise service at 10 a.m., and a free children’s egg hunt. Free transportation provided on request. All in the community are welcome.
