Signatures Needed to Submit
Comments to CVWD
The Crescenta Valley Water District, which is considering a rate increase, is alerting concerned residents who submitted an electronic message protesting the possible increase. An electronic submission, without a signature, does not meet the requirements to be counted as a valid protest under Proposition 218. In order to make a letter count, it has to include the parcel site address, the name and signature of the parcel owner or tenant, a statement that the proposed rates are being protested (a reason does not need to be included). The protest then needs to either be mailed or hand delivered to the district offices (2700 Foothill Blvd., La Crescenta, 91214). Scanned or photographed protest letters with a handwritten signature can be emailed to customerservice@cvwd.com. Email text will not be accepted. Please ensure scans/photos are clear and legible. Recommended file types are: pdf, jpg, bmp, png, or tiff. Protests may also be handed to the staff at the public hearing prior to the closing of the hearing.
All messages received will be communicated to the general manager.
