Prom Plus’ Taste of Montrose was held on Sunday, along with the annual Kids & Kritters and Wags n Whiskers events. Honolulu Avenue was full of dogs, kids and people enjoying the many things offered.
The Taste of Montrose is a fundraiser for Prom Plus, which is celebrating its 25th year as a non-profit organization that gives Crescenta Valley High School seniors and their guests a safe place to go after prom. It costs about $25,000 each year to put on the after-prom party at the Crescenta Cañada YMCA, held from midnight to 5 a.m. Prom Plus is looking for volunteers for the annual event, this year on May 18-19. The organization is also looking for parents of students in the CV area who will be eventually attending CVHS to join Prom Plus.
