Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge is the newest land to open at Disneyland and with it comes a new section of the Disney Play app available on Apple and Android phones. The app, which launched last summer, gives guests a new interactive experience in the parks to play games while in line, discover music playlists based on the surrounding land and earn achievements by riding attractions. The new Star Wars land has one attraction, “Millennium Falcon: Smuggler’s Run,” and the Play app features a game based on the ride to pass the time.

But more importantly, the app transforms into the Star Wars Datapad while in the land overall. This Datapad allows guests to interact with the land itself, the characters and droids who live there and even take jobs and download game elements for a full roleplay experience to make each guest’s visit unique and custom to their interests. Guests can pledge their loyalty to the First Order, fight for the Resistance or set out on a solo path as a scoundrel.

This is a whole new way to Play at Disneyland.
