Los Angeles Sheriff’s Dept. and Montrose Search and Rescue, as well as other search and rescue teams, are still looking for an elderly hiker who has been missing since Saturday at 7:30 p.m.

Eugene Jo, 73, got separated from his group that was hiking a six-mile route on Mt. Waterman on Saturday, according to LASD.

As of Monday at 4:30 p.m. the man had not been found.

When emergency responders were at the command post in the area, they received a call concerning a missing male teenage hiker in the Islip area. He was able to contact the sheriff’s department at 3:07 p.m. and within an hour and a half had been found and air evacuated from Islip to Charles S. Farnsworth Park in Altadena. He did not report any injuries, according to a sheriff’s spokesman.
