The Glendale Burbank Republican Assembly hosted candidate Eric Early who will be running next year against Adam Schiff for the 28th Congressional seat. Early stopped by with his campaign manager to talk of his future plans and said he hopes to someday debate Schiff.

“I’m running to send Schiff into retirement and help give Congress back to the people,” he said.

There was so much interest by the Assembly guests in meeting Early that the line at the La Crescenta Woman’s Club extended out the door and more food had to be delivered. Glendale Burbank Republican Assembly president Lois Billings has doubled the Assembly’s attendance since it moved its meetings to the La Crescenta Woman’s Club.

The GBRA annual summer party will be at the Jeffers Estate on Foothill Boulevard across from the YMCA in La Cañada on Sunday, Sept. 15 from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. George Papadopoulos, former member of the foreign policy advisory panel to Donald Trump and Ben Carson’s 2016 presidential campaigns, will be a special guest. General admission is $25; children under 12 are free. Donors of $150 or more will enjoy a pre-party VIP reception and photo op with George Papadopoulos and his wife Simona.
