Two Strike Park and Crescenta Valley Park are having a play equipment facelift.

The play equipment is surrounded by fencing at present but that is scheduled to change by the end of the year, said Cheryl Davis, president of the Crescenta Valley Town Council.

“At CV Park there will be two new playgrounds. One for 2-to-5 year olds and another for 5-to-12 year olds,” Davis said.

Los Angeles County Parks and Recreation will be replacing the park’s swing set and a rock and ropes area.

Construction began in early November at Two Strike Park.  Fences surround the once busy playground area as new equipment is placed.

At the end of December there will be three new playground areas. Like CV Park there will be equipment designed for 2-to-5 year olds and another area for older kids up to 12. A new swing set and a rocks and rope play area will be placed here as well.Shading will be added over the equipment at Two Strike, Davis said.

Funding for the improvements was approved by the county of Los Angeles in
June.
