The new Ace Hardware of La Crescenta will officially open Dec. 17, according to Ace officials. The store is in the former Orchard Supply Hardware location at 3100 Foothill Blvd. A grand opening is scheduled for early 2020.
The store is anticipated to eventually employ approximately 50 people from the area. General Manager Lawrence Stuart said that customers will recognize many familiar faces from the previous Orchard Supply Hardware store.
“We are thrilled that La Crescenta consumers will once again have a neighborhood hardware store, full of friendly and familiar faces, and an exciting blend of products,” Stuart said. “We look forward to being part of the La Crescenta community.”
The 33,179 sq. ft. store will sell traditional hardware products such as fasteners, tools, plumbing and electrical supplies. Additionally it will feature several “store-in-a-store” concepts and departments:
• The Garden Center will feature a full range of seasonal live goods and gardening supplies, as well as a wide assortment of patio furniture and other outdoor living products.
• The Backyard BBQ department will feature a full range of grills and BBQ accessories from such leading brands as Weber, Traeger and Big Green Egg.
• In the Outdoor Power Equipment department, the store will sell a full range of gas-, elec
tric- and battery-powered blowers, chain saws, mowers and string trimmers from manufacturers such as Stihl and Toro.
• The Tool Shop will feature power and hand tools from Milwaukee Tools, Makita, DeWalt, Craftsman and Black & Decker.
• Pet Supply will carry an extensive array of pet food, toys, grooming products, health supplies, pre-packed and bulk treats. Featured premium brands will include Blue Buffalo, Science Diet, Nutro, Taste of The Wild and Merrick.
• The Paint Studio will feature a wide range of paints and painting supplies from Benjamin Moore, Magnolia Home, Clark + Kensington, Purdy and Kilz.
• Kitchen Essentials will offer the latest kitchen gadgets and tools, trendy cookware from brands like Starfrit, specialty coffee items from brands including Bodum, eco-friendly bowls and cutting boards from EcoSmart, sparkling water makers and accessories from SodaStream, as well as specialty foods from local companies.
