On Saturday, Nov. 16 at 7 p.m. the Los Angeles Clarinet Choir will launch its 15th anniversary season where it all began: at La Crescenta Presbyterian Church.
The LACC has achieved international recognition having been invited to perform at international ClarinetFests in 2007 in Vancouver, BC, in 2010 in Austin, Texas, in 2011 in Los Angeles, in 2017 in Orlando and 2019 in Knoxville. In addition, the group performs concerts at colleges, universities, high schools, churches and retirement communities in and around Southern California.
The Nov. 16 program will include an arrangement of Johannes Brahms Serenade No. 2 for clarinets ranging from sopranino to contrabass plus original works for clarinet choir by contemporary composers on themes from Japan, Hungary, Spain and Africa. A donation of $15 is suggested.
