Lucian Kugler and Boy Scouts from La Crescenta Troop 319 completed a new playground mural at La Crescenta Elementary as part of Kugler’s Eagle Project.

When La Crescenta Elementary had construction recently completed the playground was repaved, covering the old mural. Kugler chose to paint the continents, reflecting on the diversity of the school’s student body. Kugler is also still fundraising for a Buddy Bench at the school. A Buddy Bench is a place for students to sit if they are looking for someone to play with.

Those who want to help with fundraising can take part in an upcoming dine-out for Kugler’s Eagle Project on Wednesday, Nov. 27 at Jersey Mike’s, 711 Foothill Blvd. in La Cañada.
