4400 block of La Crescenta Avenue in La Crescenta, someone vandalized a vehicle with long scratches between noon and 3 p.m.

 

 

Dec. 19

2100 block of Foothill Boulevard in La Cañada, a woman reported that she picked up her son at the location. They walked to her car and she placed him in the seat behind the driver. She got into the driver’s seat and placed her seatbelt on. She had her purse with her, wearing the strap over her shoulder. She started her vehicle and was about to place it in reverse when she heard the right front passenger door open. A man described as Hispanic, about 20-years-old  grabbed the strap of her purse and pulled it from her body. She was unable to stop him from taking her purse. He fled the area in a four-door white Honda. The theft occurred at 3:30 p.m.

400 block of Foothill Boulevard in La Cañada, a woman reported that her wallet had been stolen as she was shopping at a market. She had placed her purse in the cart’s child seat and only stepped a way from when she was getting items off the shelf. Later she was contacted by her credit card companies letting her know her that someone had attempted to make purchases in several stores without her permission. The original theft occurred  at 12:30 p.m.

 

 

Dec. 18

2400 block of Florencita Avenue in Montrose,  keys, a Global Positioning System and other items were stolen from an unlocked vehicle overnight.

 

 

Dec. 17

200 block of Baptiste Way in La Cañada, the bedroom window at a home was broken  reported at 10 p.m.

 

 

Dec. 16

2600 block of Mayfield Avenue in Montrose, a resident returned home to find the front and side doors open and his Christmas lights were on, he had left them off. He found several rooms in his home had been ransacked. Several musical instruments and Christmas gifts had ben stolen. The residential burglary occurred between 8:25 a.m. and 6:30 p.m.

3800 block of Hamstead Road in La Cañada,  a woman was driving home when she observed a dark colored vehicle in her driveway. She drove past the location in an attempt to determine who may have parked their vehicle in her driveway. She did not recognize the car but parked beside it. After parking she felt a “thud” coming from outside her vehicle. Then the vehicle in her driveway sped off. She entered her home and found several rooms had been ransacked and items were missing. The residential burglary occurred at 10:15 p.m.
