LCFOG Installs 2020 Board

The home of Liz Argue in the Descanso area of La Cañada was the setting for the Dec. 5 La Cañada Orthpaedic Guild (LCFOG) Christmas luncheon and board installation. Mary Beth Perrine, assistant vice president, Development and Outreach, and Karla Delgado, assistant director, Development and Community Outreach from Orhopaedic Institute for Children (OIC) installed the new board with a hilarious skit. It involved handing out candy and sweet treats while commenting on the duties of each board member. Martha Ramirez, International Children’s Liaison from OIC, was a guest.

Returning for a second term as president is Marianne Jennings, Vice-President Barbara Self, Treasurer Joanne Ploszaj, Ways and Means Arlene Massimino and Caryl Pettit, Corresponding Secretary Elinor Bunn and Recording Secretary Alicia Thompson.

Toys were collected for the children’s Christmas party at the OIC on Dec. 11.  A buffet lunch was then enjoyed by members and guests.

LCFOG is a non-profit organization that raises money to help fund the OIC, which opened in 1911. The mission of OIC is to provide children with musculoskeletal injuries or disorders excellent orthopaedic medical care regardless of ability to pay.
