Importance Discussed of Dignity Health’s Human Trafficking Initiatives

Dignity Health – Glendale Memorial Hospital and Health Center (GMHHC) welcomed John Cotton Richmond, the United States Ambassador-at-Large to Monitor and Combat Trafficking in Persons. Leaders from across Dignity Health shared with Ambassador Richmond successes from its human trafficking initiatives, including its Survivor Advocate Program that places a human trafficking survivor along the frontlines of its emergency department team to help identify and help victims of human trafficking. Additionally, Jennifer Cox, program director of Dignity Health’s Medical Safe Haven, informed the ambassador of the successes seen with continuity of care through its medical residency education efforts.
