‘Loving Mercy; Restoring Lives’ Theme of Gala

LCPC Parent Education announce that its annual gala, “Loving Mercy; Restoring Lives” will be held on Saturday, Feb. 29 (Leap Day) at Oakmont Country Club in Glendale. In addition to LCPC Parent Education raising funds for its operational budget, it will be partnering with a local foster care advocacy organization, Foster All, to raise funds to secure homes for foster children in Los Angeles. LA County has 30,000-plus foster children in need of homes, which is the largest foster care crisis in the nation.

The gala will be emceed by John Cervenka, Chris Erskine and Chuck Osburn. A ticket purchase of $100 will include a seated dinner, complimentary drink, cash bar and live auction. Tickets can be purchased online at bit.ly/2020PEtickets as well as donations toward LCPC Parent Ed and the Cathy and Christopher Erskine Compassion Memorial. Anne Sorensen Bierling (MA, MFT), director of LCPC Parent Education, will receive the 2020 Shining Star award that is awarded annually to a person who has had a “significant impact on the community especially its families and children.” She will be honored for her 30 years of service and dedication to families in Los Angeles. Since 2007, Bierling has served as director of LA’s LCPC Parent Education, offering 22 classes for parents of children from ages newborn to age 18.
