CV Detectives Seek Public’s Help in Indecent Exposure Case

Crescenta Valley Station detectives are investigating a La Cañada Flintridge indecent exposure case from December 2019. They are also asking for additional victims or witnesses to come forward.

On Dec. 13, 2019, deputies from Crescenta Valley Station responded to the 2100 block of Foothill Boulevard, La Cañada Flintridge, regarding an indecent exposure incident. Upon their arrival, they learned the victim was in a vehicle inside a parking lot. The suspect drove a light blue or grey 1989 Plymouth up to the victim’s vehicle. While parked next to the victim, the suspect attempted to get the victim’s attention by speaking to her. The victim looked into the suspect’s vehicle and saw the suspect had exposed himself. The victim called her family member, who was shopping nearby. When the family member walked toward the cars, the suspect drove away from the location.

The suspect was described as an African-American male, in his 20s, with a thin build. The victim stated the suspect’s vehicle had faded paint and rust spots.

On March 18, 2020, a similar incident occurred at the 2600 block of Foothill Boulevard, La Crescenta. A suspect in a similar vehicle was seen exposing himself in public. However, the informant on the call was not at the scene when deputies arrived.

Detectives from the station are asking any witnesses or victims of the March 18 incident, or similar incidents, to come forward. With the public’s help, detectives hope to identify the suspect.
