Pile driving is scheduled to begin during the week of May 18 for the foundation of the new I-5 Burbank Boulevard Bridge. It is scheduled Monday through Friday, daytime only. Noise and vibration are expected. Please see more information below.

SR-134 to Magnolia Boulevard
I-5 between SR-134 and Magnolia Boulevard: Crews are installing joint seals and the irrigation system, landscaping at ramps, and installing traffic loop detectors on northbound and southbound I-5. Some of this work occurs at night.
Southbound I-5 at Verdugo Avenue: Crews are replacing approach slabs (concrete pavement) at the Verdugo Avenue bridge on southbound I-5. This work occurs at night.
Magnolia Boulevard to Buena Vista Street
I-5 at Burbank Boulevard: Crews are excavating, constructing retaining walls and completing removal of the old Burbank Boulevard bridge which was demolished in April. Some of this work occurs at night.
During the week of May 18, pile driving is scheduled to start for the foundation of the new I-5 Burbank Boulevard Bridge. Pile driving will occur between approximately 6:30 a.m and 4 p.m. Monday through Friday, for about three to four weeks, ending in June. No pile driving is scheduled on weekends or Memorial Day, May 25. The schedule is subject to change. Noise and vibration are expected during this operation.
