Los Angeles County Dept. of Public Health has confirmed 48 new deaths as of May 28 bringing the total number of deaths due to COVID-19 to 2,241.
As of May 26, the City of Glendale reported 77 deaths, La Cañada Flintridge reported five deaths, Eagle Rock has nine deaths, Sunland has reported for 14 and Tujunga 11 deaths. In the unincorporated areas of LA County, Altadena has reported five deaths and La Crescenta/Montrose has reported one death.
As of May 28 Public Health confirmed 1,094 news positive cases of COVID-19 bring the total in LA County to 49,774. The total amount includes 960 cases reported in the City of Glendale, 50 cases in La Cañada Flintridge, 172 in Eagle Rock, 11 in Shadow Hills, 146 in Sunland and 121 in Tujunga. In the unincorporated area of LA County, Altadena there have been 144 positive cases of COVID-19 and in La Crescenta/Montrose there have been 29 cases reported.
As of May 28, USC Verdugo Hills Hospital has reported seven patients with confirmed COVID-19 currently in the hospital, 101 patients have been sent home and 35 were transferred. Of the patients with negative COVID-19 test there have been 69 patients hospitalized, 1,023 patients were sent home and 11 patients transferred. Patients with pending COVID-19 test, 13 are currently in the hospital and three have been sent home.
