Angelenos who were up early this morning watching the launch coverage of the Mars 2020 mission designed and built by our own Jet Propulsion Laboratory may have felt an earthquake which struck at 4:29 a.m. The shaking was mentioned live on NASA TV as the feed checked in with JPL mission control. The 4.2 Earthquake’s epicenter was at the 12700 block of Fellows Ave in Pacoima, CA and was followed by at least five aftershocks of 2.0 or greater. The shaking did not affect the launch, which was taking place in Florida.
