The Coroner’s Office has identified the two people involved in a fatal car accident early Monday morning on the 210 Freeway near the Pennsylvania off-ramp.
Nicole Ardon, 23, from Sunland was identified as the wrong way driver who struck a vehicle driven by James Haddid, 27, of Pasadena. Both drivers were killed. Ardon’s vehicle burst into flames due to the collision. There was a male passenger in Ardon’s vehicle who survived with severe injuries. He was transported to a local hospital.
California Highway Patrol responded at 2:40 a.m. to the call concerning a driver of a vehicle traveling westbound in the eastbound lanes of the Foothill (210) Freeway.
The traffic collision is still under investigation and no other information has been released, according to Officer Peter Nicholson. CHP is awaiting the toxicology reports.
All eastbound lanes on the Foothill (210) Freeway were closed at Pennsylvania Avenue until about 7:45 a.m. after the fatal collision.
