CAMPBELL CENTER HOSTS ‘SPOOKTACULAR’ EVENING
The Campbell Center is hosting a virtual Halloween benefit, sponsored by Disney, today, Thursday, Oct. 29, from 6:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. Tickets to the fundraiser are $75 and includes magic by renowned magician John Carney, comedy by Pam Ropfogel, spooky trivia, an online auction and more.

BEHIND-THE-SCENES LOOK AT THE ART OF FOREST LAWN
All are invited to a virtual look at never-before-seen treasures from the historic Forest Lawn Museum, presented by Museum Director Dr. James Fishburne. Presented by The Glendale Historical Society, the event is today, Thursday, Oct. 29 at 7 p.m.

ANNUAL SHREDDING DAY
Northwest Glendale Homeowners Association will hold its annual shredding day on Saturday, Nov. 7 from 9 a.m. to noon in the parking lot behind Grandview Presbyterian Church, 1130 Ruberta Ave., between Glenoaks and Fifth Street. It is open to all Glendale residents.
A special camera attached to the shredding truck allows participants to view their confidential papers and documents being shredded.
NWGHA members get three boxes free and then it’s $7 per box thereafter. For non-members, it is $7. Northwest residents who join that day will receive the membership discount.
COVID-19 guidelines will be in effect. Put all boxes and bags in the car trunks and staff can unload. Everyone needs to wear masks, especially if leaving their cars, and space needs to be maintained for those watching the shredding process.
VIRTUAL DOC TALK LECTURE
The next presentation of the free USC Verdugo Hills Hospital lectures, in partnership with YMCA of the Foothills, is titled “Memory Loss” presented by Vahe Akopian, MD, on Wednesday, Nov. 18 from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m.
This lecture series presents a variety of health-related topics to community members throughout the year. In compliance with COVID-19 social distancing guidelines, lectures are presented via Zoom teleconference.

CCLCF THANKSGIVING DAY RUN & FOOD DRIVE
The Community Center of La Cañada Flintridge’s Thanksgiving Day 5K Run/Walk and Kids’ Mile Run, a local tradition and a community favorite for over two decades, will be held virtually this year. Participants will select a distance, sign up and pay the registration fee. They will pick up their bib, shirt, medal and swag on Wednesday, Nov. 25 and will have Thursday, Nov. 26 to complete the distance.
After completing their race, they will log into their account on the registration system to input their time, and all participants will be able to print a certificate.
Times will be tracked for placement (age, gender, overall).
