The girls of the Holy Redeemer Middle School Cheer Squad took time last Saturday, Jan. 8 to participate in a cheer camp at St. Joseph High School, an all girls school in Lakewood.
The girls are preparing for their competitions in March and hoped the camp would help with their skills. While there, the girls learned three new cheers and a dance routine. They worked hard with the St. Joseph cheerleaders for two hours learning new moves. The coaches of the cheer squads at this camp were invited to a meeting to also get prepared for the upcoming competitions, which will take place at St. Joseph in March.
The girls were able to show off their new skills to the parents at the end of the camp and also perform the new dance routine.
The Holy Redeemer girls are now practicing two days a week and next month will practice three days a week to be ready for their events on March 5, 6, and 26.
