Feb. 6

900 Big Briar Way in La Cañada Flintridge, a package was stolen from the front porch of a home. Surveillance footage revealed a female approach the front porch of the home and took the package. She walked back to a waiting silver SUV, with black-rimmed tires. She entered the vehicle and drove it out of sight at 2 a.m.

500 block of Georgian Road in La Cañada Flintridge, person/persons pried open the front door of a home and ransacked multiple rooms; nothing was reported stolen at the time.

The residential burglary occurred between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m.

2600 block of Fairway Avenue, Montrose a person/persons stole a mountain bike from a bike rack located on the victim’s vehicle at 4:36 p.m.

Feb. 3

5000 block of Briggs Avenue in La Crescenta, deputies responded to a burglary alarm call for service at the location. They did not find any suspects but did discover pry marks on the sliding glass door of the home. Deputies searched the interior of the home but did find anything “suspicious.”

The attempted burglary occurred between 4:10 p.m. on Feb. 3 and 7 p.m. on Feb. 4.

2900 block of Hopeton Road in La Crescenta, four packages that contained clothing were reportedly stolen from the front porch of the residence. Video surveillance revealed a male adult approach the front porch then take four packages from the location.

He then returned with the packages to a gray pickup truck and left the area at 4:11 p.m.

Feb. 2

400 block of Foothill Boulevard in La Cañada Flintridge, while shopping at a store a woman took off her jacket and placed it on a display case. Her cellphone was in the pocket of her jacket. She left the store not realizing she had forgotten her jacket and cellphone. When she arrived home she called the store and spoke to three separate employees to ask if they had seen her jacket but it was no longer there. She immediately called her bank to stop access to her account via her cellphone.

She then went on her computer and found that the suspect who had taken her phone had added another email to the victim’s account. She found the suspect’s name and photo on Facebook and asked the employees if they recognized her. One of the employees of the store did recognize the suspect because of her suspicious behavior.

The incident is under investigation. The theft occurred between 9 a.m. and 1:40 p.m.

Jan. 9

2400 block of Foothill Boulevard in La Crescenta, after a stay at a hospital a woman reported meeting a female who had offered to help her clean her apartment. She told the woman she did not have any money to pay her but the woman agreed to help. A male showed up with the female when they came to clean. She was at the apartment several times. After their last visit, the woman realized her EBT Calfresh card was missing along with other items. She called to report the theft to Calfresh customer service and was told the card have been used three separate times.

The theft occurred between Jan. 9-13.
