Yulanda N. Davis-Quarrie has joined Verdugo Hills Hospital (VHH) as Foundation president. Davis-Quarrie brings more than 25 years of leadership experience in the field of philanthropy to the community-based hospital. In her new role at VHH, she oversees the fund development efforts, public relations/marketing and volunteer services.
VHH president and CEO Len LaBella said, “Yulanda’s scope of experience and professional credentials will benefit VHH and its fund development programs. We are excited about her joining the VHH team.”
Davis-Quarrie’s specialties include board development, major gift solicitation, capital campaign experience, annual fund development, strategic planning and implementation. A Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE) since 1990, Davis-Quarrie has secured more than $80 million in philanthropic dollars for various nonprofit organizations in Southern California.
She is actively involved with the Association of Fund Raising Professionals, where she recently completed her fourth year as a board member and currently sits as a member of the ethics and finance committee. She is also active in the larger community where she has served as president of the West Covina Chamber of Commerce and Jack and Jill of America, Inc. – Pomona Area Chapter. She currently serves as treasurer of the Rotary Club of West Covina. She was also a faculty member at UCLA where she taught in the fund raising certification program.
A resident of San Dimas, Davis-Quarrie earned her undergraduate degree in psychology from the University of Southern California and her graduate degree in Health Care Management from California State University, Los Angeles. She is married and has two adult children.
