“Neofuturists – On Demand,” presented by Crescenta Valley High School, spotlights 20 scenes in 60 minutes. It can be viewed on any device with a stable Internet connection and adequate bandwidth.
According to director Amy Matalas, this show was performed live twice, and is seen is the opening night performance.
“The kids experienced a host of technical issues including actors dropping out of the Zoom entirely, unable to return, forcing other actors to jump in and take their places at a moment’s notice,” she stated. “But the actors got through it like professionals. They kept going and ultimately delivered our favorite show. It was messy, fun and chaotic, and felt as close to a live Neofuturist performance as any I’ve ever had in-person. It felt like the embodiment of this crazy school year; it felt the most like us. We had such a good time and hope you enjoy!”
For the fifth consecutive year, CVHS’s Theater Department presents “Neofuturists,” a collection of 20 original, themed scenes, written and performed by the Theater troupe, performed in a randomized, audience-chosen order in (hopefully) 60 minutes or less!
Tickets are $10 for this presentation that is available for viewing until May 21.
