Bishop of Bolivia Frank Lyons
Visits St. Luke’s Anglican Church

Pastor Rob Holman with Right Reverend Bishop Frank Lyons.

St. Luke’s Anglican Church welcomed the Right Reverend Bishop Frank Lyons of the Diocese of Bolivia to its Sunday services Jan.  23. The Bishop’s inspiring message expanded on the congregation’s current church-wide study of the book of Ephesians. The Bishop discussed Jesus’ efforts to show people how to live in the power of the Holy Spirit. He said Christians today must participate more in seeking the power of the Spirit in their lives.

Bishop Lyons’ vision for his diocese in Bolivia includes “making disciples, raising up leaders and planting new churches.” He was consecrated as the Bishop of Bolivia in February 2001. The Anglican Church of the Southern Cone of America is part of the world-wide Anglican Communion. Bishop Lyons makes an annual visit to St. Luke’s during his travels to the United States.

St. Luke’s invites the community to attend its weekly traditional Sunday worship service at 8:00 a.m. and its contemporary family service at 10:15 a.m. at the Seventh Day Adventist Church Chapel, 300 Vallejo Drive in Glendale. The church will begin monthly healing services the fourth Friday of every month beginning this Friday, Jan. 28 at 7:00 p.m. at its church offices, 3901 Foothill Blvd., Ste. 100, La Crescenta.
