An officer involved shooting occurred on Aug. 28 on the Ventura [134] Freeway at the Glendale [2] Freeway connector.

According to a California Highway Patrol report, officers responded to a “disabled motorist” on the Glendale [2] Freeway southbound connector to the Ventura [134] Freeway eastbound.

CHP officers from the Altadena Station responded to the scene and found a woman standing outside her vehicle who was blocking the No. 2 lane and right shoulder. The woman, according to officers, was armed. During a confrontation an officer involved shooting occurred.

Fire and CHP personnel rendered aid; she was transported to a local hospital where she died.

The officer involved shooting is still under investigation.
