Local professional and student musicians are practicing for the upcoming Brass & Jazz Bash, presented by the Crescenta Valley Arts Council. The concert on Friday, Feb. 11 at 7:30 p.m. will be held at La Crescenta Presbyterian Church

2902 Montrose Ave., La Crescenta. It will offer a stunning variety of brass ensemble music, including a Gabrieli work for three brass choirs, a seven-part brass Bach piece, a Chuck Mangione trumpet solo, and a trombone choir.

CV High School Jazz Band and Rosemont Middle School students will join with L.A. Philharmonic and L.A. Chamber Orchestra musicians.

It promises to be another unforgettable Bash experience. Donation: $5.
