5800 block of Gould Mesa Mountain Road in La Cañada Flintridge, the owner of a vehicle parked at the turnout off Angeles Crest Highway. She put her backpack containing several items into the trunk and locked her vehicle. When she returned to her vehicle she found several items had been stolen from her backpack and the driver’s side door keyhole had been “punched.”
The incident occurred between 12:16 p.m. and 2:40 p.m.

500 block of Foothill Boulevard in La Cañada Flintridge, deputies received a call regarding a black Audi driving slowly around the employees’ vehicles in a parking lot. When the deputies arrived at the location they located the vehicle matching the description driving eastbound on Foothill Boulevard toward Gould Avenue. The vehicle made a left turn onto Gould Avenue, traveling northbound. Deputies followed the vehicle as it merged onto the westbound 210 Freeway. The Audi was traveling at a high rate of speed toward the Ocean View Boulevard off-ramp. The deputies reported the vehicle was drifting out of its lane as well.
They attempted to make a traffic stop but the driver did not reply and turned right onto Ocean View traveling northbound and running a red light. The vehicle pursuit continued eastbound of Foothill Boulevard passing La Cañada Plaza Road at an estimated 60 miles per hour. Deputies reported the driver was having trouble maintaining a consistent lane position and was drifting out of its lane of travel. An LASD airship was requested.
The Audi entered the Glendale 2 Freeway southbound reportedly swerving between lanes. The pursuit continued with speeds estimated up to 100 mph. Deputies alerted California Highway Patrol of the pursuit. The deputies began distancing themselves from the vehicle as speeds increased. The Audi continued southbound on the 2 Freeway and remains outstanding.
The incident began at 2:41 a.m.
Oct. 8
1000 block of Green Lane in La Cañada Flintridge, a woman reported that when she returned home she unlocked the front door of her residence but the door would not open. She went to the backyard and found the sliding glass door unlocked. She found several rooms in her home had been ransacked and a chair propped up against the front door, which is why she was unable to open it. She also noticed the front door was locked with a deadbolt, which is she something she normally does not do.
Surveillance footage revealed a male walking up to the front door and ringing the doorbell. He left but returned moments later, rang the doorbell then walked around the driveway and out of view. The homeowner had not yet reported anything stolen as of press time.
The burglary occurred between 1:23 p.m. and 3 p.m.
Oct. 6
4900 block of Ramsdell Avenue in La Crescenta, a catalytic converter was stolen from a vehicle between 2 a.m. and 12:30 p.m.
Oct. 5
2600 block of Altura Avenue in La Crescenta, the front window was smashed and items were stolen from a vehicle overnight.
