Sorting Things Out at the Salvation Army

Among the volunteers were (from left) Sam Orozco, Mike Swan, Robin Goldsworthy, Claudia Sysock and Richard Dell from the Kiwanis Club of Glendale.

Collecting food is just the first part of filling the pantries at the Salvation Army. After generous donations were collected from the post office food drive, the donated products were brought to the gym at the Salvation Army in Glendale. There it was sorted and then moved to the pantry where it was stocked. From there bags could be assembled that would eventually be distributed to families.

Local students Ella Willits, a fifth grader who attends La Crescenta Elementary School, and her brother Barden, a ninth grader at Crescenta Valley High School, also lent a hand.
