On Wednesday a driver drove through the front window of the Citibank in the 2600 block of Foothill Boulevard.
“An elderly male driver who was attempting to park in a space in front of the Citibank apparently mistook the car’s accelerator for the brake and crashed through the bank’s window, stopping inside the bank,” said a CHP spokesman.
The driver was uninjured. There were four people in the bank at the time; none were injured.
One of the bank employees whose desk is near the window where the car crashed through happened to be away from his desk at the time.
“I heard a noise. I thought at first it was an earthquake and then I saw a car in the middle of the bank,” said the employee.
CHP is investigating.
