In roughly six weeks, the entire Y community consisting of all staff levels, committed volunteers, Y members and board members raised over $85,300, shattering on May 18 their $80,000 goal. The Annual Support Campaign ensures the Y’s enduring impact as it supports their scholarship fund.

“In the final hour, our sports coordinator Noah Bernstein received a large donation exceeding our projected goal,” said Joanne Pingry, director, Mission Advancement at YMCA of the Foothills. “We could not be more excited for our Y and the neighborhoods we serve. No one gets turned away from wanting to participate in our programs and services and now, because of the success of this campaign, we’ve secured that possibility for the remainder of this year.”

The YMCA of the Foothills thanks the community at large for its generous contributions. Donations from the Annual Support Campaign help the Y provide life-saving swim lessons, build teamwork taught in youth sports, create adventures during summer camps, provide leadership skills in their Youth and Government programs and much more, making these opportunities available to the entire community.

The mission of the YMCA of the Foothills is to organize, develop, finance and conduct programs for an association of persons of all ages that will, by putting Christian principles into practice, enrich the quality of their lives spiritually, mentally, physically and socially.
