2100 block of Foothill Boulevard, a woman reported that as she was shopping she noticed two adult males and one adult female shopping near her. She had her purse that contained her wallet on her left arm. The three suspects got very close to her a couple of times; each time she moved away. She picked up some dresses that she placed over her purse and continued to shop. Later a different a woman approached her and asked if she had dropped her wallet. The wallet did belong to her; she found the cash was missing. The woman did not feel anyone take the wallet out of her purse.
The theft occurred at 2 p.m.
Switzer Falls in the Angeles National Forest, a couple parked a car in the parking lot and went on a hike. When they returned they found a rear driver side window was smashed and numerous personal items were stolen between noon and 2 p.m.
June 1
2900 block of Community Avenue in La Crescenta, a student placed her iPhone 13 on a bench in the locker room and walked away to wash her hands. She estimated she was away from her phone for about three minutes. When she returned the phone was gone.
The theft occurred at 10 a.m.
600 block of Foothill Boulevard in La Cañada Flintridge, while shopping a woman placed down her phone and left it unattended for about two minutes. When she returned it was gone. She used Find My Phone app and discovered it was in Los Angeles.
The theft occurred at 1:20 p.m.
4500 block of La Crescenta Avenue in La Crescenta, a refrigerator was stolen from a home under construction. The burglary occurred overnight.
May 31
200 block of St. Katherine Drive in La Cañada Flintridge, the lock of a mailbox was broken; no mail was reported stolen. The incident occurred between May 31 at 9 p.m. and June 1 at 9 p.m.
Jan. 17
La Crescenta Avenue and El Caminito in La Crescenta, a resident wrote a check to Los Angeles County Tax Collection and placed it in the mailbox at the corner of La Crescenta Avenue and El Caminito. She received a notice from LA County claiming it did not receive the check. The resident discovered the check’s payee had been altered.
The incident occurred overnight.
