On May 27, Lincoln Elementary School honored 27 high school seniors, previous Lincoln Elementary students, with scholarships. Principal Barbara Fariss said she was “astounded” by the number of applicants and proud of the returning seniors.
This is the highest number of scholarships distributed in Lincoln’s history. Making its debut this year is The Stephen Williams Scholarship, funded by former principal Stephen Williams.
Receiving funds in various amounts by a variety of Lincoln scholarships were:
Elaine Kim and Faith Kim – 6th Grade Committee Scholarship; Karis Yun, Eric Peterson, Daniel Kim, Kaisa Lindman-Marshall and Jorge-Luis Gonzalez – The Lincoln Elementary Foundation Scholarship; Susanna Kim, Omar Pena, Anjli Shah and Griffith Burzynski – Lincoln PTA Scholarship; Anyssa Reyes – Stephen Williams Scholarship; Kiana Arevalo and McKenna Keil – the Pat Kalish Scholarship; Thalia Miller and Rachel Lee – the Palacios Family Scholarship; Madeline Novak, Easton Caneva and Ella Wilson – Lincoln Teachers And Staff Scholarship; Elizabeth Miller – Cheryl Duncan Scholarship; Chase Becker and Emma Walch – Callister Music Scholarship; Aaron Thomas Agustin, Arthur Movsesyan, Varshit Patel and Nairi Ghazarian – Armenian Parents Club Scholarship.
