“On Wednesday afternoon the Glendale Fire Department responded to a hiker rescue in Deukmejian Wilderness Park. Firefighters spent 30 minutes searching and assessing the hiker’s location. They determined the hiker was in a spot that would only safely be accessed by helicopter. LA County Air 5 made the rescue and the hiker did not have any major injuries,” according to Anita Shandi, spokesperson, Glendale Fire Dept.
