Celebrating Its Anniversary in Style

The Fine Arts Theatre Beverly Hills’ 86th anniversary celebration features retro 1937 ticket prices of 25 cents. Ten classic films, including two double features, and two live stage shows, which are each priced at $30 (side and back), $35 (center) and $40 VIP (center, including medium popcorn), will be presented through April 30 at the historic theatre. The Fine Arts Theatre Beverly Hills is located at 8556 Wilshire Blvd. (at La Cienega Boulevard) in Beverly Hills.

“The Godfather” will be screened on Sunday, April 16 at 6:30 p.m. Additional films include “Black Legion,” “That Girl From Paris,” a double feature: “The Reluctant Astronaut” and “The Ghost and Mr. Chicken,” a double feature: “Frankstein and Dracula,” “The Exorcist” – the version most people have never seen before – and celebrating the 50th anniversary of the original film “The Great Race.”

A live stage show – “Tied Up In Knotts!” – includes actress and comedienne Karen Knotts in the Los Angeles premiere of a stage show saluting the career of her late father, comedic actor Don Knotts. It takes place on Saturday, April 22 at 8 p.m.

On Sunday, April 30 at 7 p.m. the theatre hosts “My Buddy: The Other Side of Oz,” a cabaret-style jazz show starring singer/songwriter/recording artist/actress Kiki Ebsen celebrating the life and career of her late father – stage, film and television star Buddy Ebsen.
