Big Tujunga in Angeles National Forest, a woman said she parked her vehicle at the location and, when she returned, the vehicle was missing. She had locked her vehicle and had her car keys in her possession. Her purse, which contained several credit cards and personal information, was in the vehicle. She found several of the credit cards had unauthorized charges on them. Surveillance footage from a business where the credit card was used revealed a male described as White who was wearing a blue sweater and blue hat and had red facial hair.
The vehicle theft occurred between 10:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m.
2600 block of Foothill Boulevard in La Crescenta, an employee reported witnessing a suspect filling her duffel bag with numerous hair care items. The employee approached the suspect and asked if she needed help with anything, and asked if she needed a cart in order to place her items. It was reportedly obvious to the employee that the suspect was not going to pay for any of the items. The employee went to the front of the store and, over the store’s public announcement system, asked for security to go to the hair care aisle regarding a possible theft.
The suspect left the store with the stolen items at 1:30 p.m.
3000 block of Foothill Boulevard in La Crescenta, deputies responded to a business regarding the store’s alarm activation. Surveillance footage revealed a male adult, wearing a dark colored jacket, dark colored pants, mask, beanie and carrying a backpack, run up to a laptop and attempt to remove it from the display shelf. The suspect was not able to remove the laptop and ran away out of view.
The incident occurred at 11:30 p.m.

700 block of Angeles Crest Highway in Tujunga, a man parked his vehicle at the location, left it unlocked and went for a hike. When he returned he found all of his windows were rolled down and his shoes were missing.
The vehicle burglary occurred between 3 p.m. and 5 p.m.
May 24
900 block of Town Center Drive in La Cañada Flintridge, an employee reported that a suspect, described only as a male Hispanic, had exited the business with a shopping cart containing items he had not paid for at 2:04 p.m.
600 block of Foothill Boulevard in La Cañada Flintridge, a woman stopped her vehicle at a stop sign then reportedly checked to make sure it was clear to proceed with a right turn. She saw a male adult, described as White, about 6’2” tall, weighing about 200 lbs. who was unshaven, walking near the crosswalk just east of the stop sign. As she was turning she heard a loud bang coming from her vehicle. She exited the vehicle and saw the man walking westbound across the sidewalk. She found a dent on the side of her vehicle that appeared to have been made by a fist.
The incident occurred at 2:50 p.m.

800 Town Center Drive in La Cañada Flintridge, the front passenger window was shattered and the glove compartment had been open and pulled off its hinges. The owner of the vehicle did not report anything missing at the time.
The incident occurred between 6 a.m. and 7:30 a.m.

700 block of Forest Green Drive in La Cañada Flintridge, a resident reported that he secured his residence and left the area. When he returned he found his home had been ransacked and the bedroom window shattered. He reported a gun and ammunition were stolen.
The residential burglary occurred between 6:30 p.m. and 10 p.m.

500 block of Foothill Boulevard in La Cañada Flintridge, a woman reported her debit card had been stolen. She was unsure when the card was stolen; however, she believed it was at a store while she was at the check stand. She reported that while she was in line a man, described as Middle Eastern in his 30s, 6’ tall, 180 lbs. with wavy black hair and a Middle Eastern accent, and a woman, described as Middle Eastern, in her 20s, 5’4” tall 130 lbs. with dark hair, were standing behind her. The man picked up money from the ground and asked her if it belong to her. He took the money and placed it in her wallet that was sitting on top of her purse. The victim thought this behavior was odd but continued with her transaction. When she arrived at her next destination she realized her debit card was missing. She immediately contacted the bank and was told that an in person withdrawal had been made at her bank. There were additional charges made to different retailers.
The incident occurred between 3 p.m. and 3:15 p.m.

2600 block of Foothill Boulevard in La Crescenta, a woman reported her cellphone was stolen from the shopping cart where she had placed it. The victim said she was able to review the store’s surveillance footage and saw a male taking her phone from the shopping cart. There was no other description of the suspect.
The theft occurred at 8:30 a.m.
3900 block of Ocean View Boulevard in Montrose, deputies responded to a burglary call at the location. When they arrived they met an employee who stated she noticed the front door of her business had been broken. That’s when she called deputies. An investigation revealed someone had forcefully entered the business through the front door breaking the locking mechanism. Deputies found trash on the floor of the front office and various drawers and cabinets were opened throughout the business and equipment was reported missing.
The burglary occurred overnight.
May 10
900 block of Town Center Drive in La Cañada Flintridge, a driver parked his vehicle in the parking lot of the location. He left his car unlocked as he went to a local business. When he returned he did not notice anything missing; however, when he arrived at his destination he discovered his backpack had been stolen from the front passenger seat. The backpack contained several items including a laptop computer. He immediately traced the computer to an address in Culver City.
The theft occurred between 4:45 p.m. and 5 p.m.
April 15
3000 block of Foothill Boulevard in La Crescenta, items that were stored in a shed on the property were stolen. The owner had placed the items in the shed and locked it. When she returned it was discovered the padlock that was on the door handle was still in place; however, the other door handle had the screws removed to gain access.
The burglary occurred between April 15 and May 21.
