La Cañada Flintridge Community Center Preschool Wins Silver at the 44th Annual Telly Awards

The Community Center of La Cañada Flintridge announced its promotional video “Welcome to the Community Center Preschool” has been named Best Educational Institution Non-Broadcast Video in the 44th Annual Telly Awards. The Telly Awards honors excellence in video and television across all screens and is judged by leaders from video platforms, television, streaming networks, production companies including Adobe, BBC World Service, Netflix, Dow Jones, A&E Networks, Hearst Media, Nickelodeon, National Geographic Society, ESPN Films and Vimeo.

The LCF Community Center Preschool administration worked with Gary Landry of Tilted Hat Productions to bring their vision to life.

“Our Preschool is such a special place, and we wanted to get the word out about our philosophies, facilities, and amazing staff in an engaging way,” said Betsy Ferguson, executive director. “The video really captures the heart and soul of what we provide for our families.”

The LCFCC Preschool video stood out to the judges, who gave it the 2023 Silver Award.

“The caliber of the work this season coming from creators such as Tilted Hat Productions and the Community Center Preschool has reflected the theme of breaking out and standing out,” said Tellys Executive Director Sabrina Dridje.

This was a record-breaking year with nearly 13,000 entries from across the globe and top video and television content producers such as Airbnb, Audible, BET Networks/BET Digital, BritBox, Disney, FEMA, Golden State Warriors, NASA, National Geographic Society, Netflix, Paramount, PBS Digital Studios and more.

The La Cañada Flintridge Community Center Preschool has served LCF and surrounding communities for over 60 years. Morning programs are available for children 3 – 5 years old, including a pre-K class. Students take part in enrichment programs such as gardening and music during the school day and may also participate in after-school care and additional enrichment classes such as dance, sports and art in the afternoon.
