Longtime Crescenta Valley resident Don Norbut was honored this week with the World War II Registry of Remembrance. Norbut served in the U.S. Navy beginning in 1944. American Legion Post 288 member Dick Clubb created the plaque and registered Norbut. The WWII Memorial Registry honors the 16 million who served in the U.S. armed forces, the more than 400,000 who died and all who supported the war effort at home.
