700 block of Angeles Crest Highway in Angeles National Forest, a woman parked her vehicle at the location and hiked the Switzer Falls Trail. About two hours after she began the hike she began receiving text message from her bank notifying her of unauthorized charges made with her credit cards. She did not authorize any use of her cards. She went back to her vehicle and found her purse was missing.
The theft occurred between noon and 2:30 p.m.
900 block of Town Center Drive in La Cañada Flintridge, an employee on her office computer was watching security cameras and saw three suspects, described as Black females, in the alcohol section of the store. Suspect 1 was described as 5’9” tall, wearing a white T-shirt and black pants. Suspect 2 was described as 5’9” tall, weighing about 240 lbs. and wearing a graphic yellow T-shirt and black pants. Suspect 3 was described as 5’ 01” tall, weighing about 150 lbs. and wearing a black T-shirt and gray pants. The suspects were reportedly seen placing numerous bottles of liquor in shopping bags and carts. The employee walked to the front of the store and saw the three suspects walk out the store without attempting to pay for the items. The suspects were seen with the stolen items getting into a silver sedan that drove eastbound on Town Center Drive and out of view.
The theft occurred at 2:54 p.m.
2500 block of Whittier Drive in La Crescenta, a resident noticed scratches on the driver’s side door and window of his vehicle. The damage occurred overnight.
800 block of Foothill Boulevard in La Cañada Flintridge, deputies responded to a burglary alarm at the location. They found the wooden doorframe damaged and the refrigerator knocked over. The informant said he had received an audible alarm activation from his alarm company. When he arrived he witnessed that an unknown suspect had made entry into the business. Items stolen have yet to be determined.
The burglary occurred at 9:45 p.m.
Oct. 12
Mount Wilson Road in Angeles National Forest, a vehicle’s locking mechanism was punched and several items were stolen between 8 a.m. and 2 p.m.
800 block of Foothill Boulevard in La Cañada Flintridge, a business owner found that the front door of her business had been forcibly breached and the interior office was ransacked. Items were stolen.
The burglary occurred between Oct. 12 and Oct. 14.
2500 block of Whittier Drive in La Crescenta, the front door of a home had pry marks on it and an electric scooter was stolen from the front of the residence. The theft occurred between 11 a.m. and 5 p.m.
Sept. 27
3000 block of Evelyn Street in Montrose, while reviewing his surveillance footage a resident witnessed a burglary suspect in his home. The resident called Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Dept.-CV Station. Deputies responded, located the suspect and were able to make an arrest.
