Día de los Muertos was celebrated at St. Luke’s of the Mountains on Oct. 28. It featured Cava Music performing and a lot of food, a piñata and great company.

St. Luke’s also included observations from Ireland (Samhain) and Nigeria (the Odo Festival).

There was an ornate and respectful altar created by church members to honor those who had passed away.

Though not part of the congregation a few people came who were drawn to the church by the music to celebrate the day as well.

St Luke’s of the Mountains Episcopal Church is located at 2563 Foothill Blvd. For more information on the church visit www.stlukeslacrescenta.org.
