With a variety of items – from electronics to glassware – the Crescenta Valley Chamber of Commerce (CVCOC) rummage sale on Saturday has everything savvy shoppers want.
The CVCOC is partnering with St. Luke’s of the Mountains Episcopal Church, 2563 Foothill Blvd., in hosting the rummage sale. People eager to support both CVCOC and St. Luke’s donated the majority of the items. For sale will be some clothes, lots of glass and kitchenware, artwork, toys and much more. Proceeds from the sale are dedicated to the church and the CVCOC to support their outreach to the community. CVCOC hosts the annual Hometown Country Fair, numerous business mixers and a scholarship program for high school students. The mission of the CVCOC is to promote the civic, economic, industrial, professional and cultural welfare of the Crescenta Valley, according to the CVCOC.
In addition to the rummage sale, Prom Plus will be hosting a barbecue. CV High School Prom Plus is an after-prom party for CVHS students. Thanks to partnerships with many local individuals and organizations, like the YMCA of the Foothills where the event is held, Prom Plus has been able for 30 years to provide to local students a safe alternative to private after-prom parties. Every year Prom Plus holds an open house barbecue at CVHS but, due to a change in procedure by the school, the organization will not be able to hold its barbecue fundraiser in 2024. The organization is grateful to the CVCOC and St. Luke’s for allowing it to hold a fundraising event during the rummage sale.
Rummage sale information: The rummage sale is located at St. Luke’s, 2563 Foothill Blvd. at the corner of Rosemont Avenue; parking is on the street. It is from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday.
