700 block of Angeles Crest Highway in Tujunga, a woman parked her vehicle near the Switzer Falls picnic area. She and her friend locked the vehicle and went into the forest. When they returned they found a small front driver’s side window had been shattered and several personal items had been stolen between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m.

Dec. 29
500 block of Foothill Boulevard in La Cañada Flintridge, someone stole a woman’s yellow backpack from the upper basket portion of a shopping cart at a store while the woman was shopping. Her wallet and several pieces of personal information were stolen between 2:30 p.m. and 3 p.m.

Dec. 28
2600 block of Foothill Boulevard in La Crescenta, deputies responded to a call concerning a report of a suspect, described as a heavy-set White male, about 5’10” tall wearing a grey hooded jacket with the hood over his head, ski mask and blue shorts, who entered the business and handed a note to the pharmacist to receive medication. The pharmacist stated he was not certain what the medication was for. The suspect became agitated and the victim was concerned for his safety.

The suspect then exited the store at 7:03 p.m.

Dec. 27
4600 block of Ocean View Boulevard in La Cañada Flintridge, a woman received a notice from her security system that someone was at her door. She looked at her security cameras and saw what appeared to be a woman wearing a brown jacket with blue jeans walk away from her door. The suspect was carrying a kettle bell and Jack Skeleton package that was delivered earlier that day.

The theft occurred at 5:37 p.m.

1600 block of Fairmount Avenue in La Cañada Flintridge, a resident reported leaving his home secured and when he returned found the glass sliding door had been shattered, several rooms ransacked and items stolen between 9 a.m. and 9 p.m.

Dec. 23
3600 block of Angeles Crest Highway in Angeles National Forest, a person reported that he and his wife drove to the location, locked his vehicle and went for a hike. When he returned he found several items, including personal information and electronics, had been stolen from the vehicle. The front driver’s side door lock had been punched and damaged.

The theft occurred between 2:30 p.m. and 6 p.m.

2100 block of Foothill Boulevard in La Cañada Flintridge, an employee at the store reported that s/he noticed another employee attempting to stop a suspect, described as a male Hispanic, from taking a clothing rack with multiple handbags on it. The suspect walked past the cash registers and through the theft prevention sensors with the metal rack with handbags attached. One employee attempted to stop the suspect from taking the property. The suspect reportedly pulled the rack from the employee’s grasp. The suspect walked out of the store with the metal rack, and threw the rack and merchandise on the ground in the parking lot. The suspect then began to walk away with the merchandise. The employee got close to the suspect who then threatened the employee. The rack and attached handbags were recovered.

The incident occurred 1:50 p.m.

Dec. 14
900 block of Big Briar Way in La Cañada Flintridge, deputies responded to a “burglary just occurred” call that indicated two male suspects, one in a white hoodie and black ski mask, attempted to pry open a back door. The call further indicated the suspects fled southbound in a gray, four-door sedan, possibly a Honda.

The informant stated she was in her bedroom when she witnessed two shadows walking westbound across her window in the backyard. She heard a “beeping and booping” coming form the backyard, then heard a doorknob jiggle. She walked into her living room and looked into the backyard patio. She reportedly saw a male about 6’ tall, weighing anywhere from 140 to 160 lbs., wearing a white hoodie and black ski mask. The suspect was lying on his stomach looking into the living room. A second suspect, described as a male, 6’ tall, 140 to 160 lbs., wearing a dark-colored hoodie and ski mask, was standing a few feet behind the first suspect. She screamed at the suspects who immediately ran toward the side gate of her property and out toward the front yard. They got into a gray four-door sedan that was parked on a nearby street. She then called 9-1-1. While she was on the phone she heard a crackling noise, which came from a shattered kitchen nook door. A three-to-five inch hole was found in the lower portion of the glass door.
