5400 block of Pine Cone Road in La Crescenta, a resident returned home to find the lock on the rear sliding glass door of his house had been damaged, rooms ransacked and several items stolen between noon and 3:30 p.m.
700 block of Angeles Crest Highway in Angeles National Forest, a backpack containing several pieces of camera equipment was stolen from a vehicle’s trunk. There was no sign of forced entry.
The theft occurred at 2 p.m.
March 6
100 block of Foothill Boulevard in La Cañada Flintridge, an employee reported witnessing a suspect, described as a White male adult wearing a dark colored baseball cap, dark colored shirt and dark colored pants, walk onto the property. The suspect began throwing unknown items toward the propane tanks located on the property. The suspect then walked toward the air compressor and grabbed the electrical box on the bottom of it and removed it from the ground. The suspect then ran southeast from the property toward Foothill Boulevard and out of view.
The incident occurred between 6 a.m. and 6:10 a.m.
March 4
2100 block of Foothill Boulevard in La Cañada Flintridge, a purse was stolen from an unlocked vehicle while parked in a parking lot of a business between 3:30 p.m. and 3:40 p.m.
Feb. 27
900 block of Town Center Drive in La Cañada Flintridge, a woman reported leaving a wallet at a business. When she returned the wallet was not found then she received messages from her credit card companies that purchases had been attempted using her cards without her permission.
The calls came in about 1 p.m.
Feb. 26
5800 block of Edmund Avenue in La Crescenta, a vehicle’s front windshield had been vandalized. The victim thinks the vandalism was due to thrown rocks, two of which he found near his vehicle.
The vandalism occurred between 6:30 a.m. and 8 a.m.
Feb. 23
1900 block of Foothill Boulevard in La Cañada Flintridge, a catalytic converter was stolen from a vehicle between 2:50 p.m. and 5:37 p.m.
Feb. 22
5200 block of Foothill Boulevard in La Cañada Flintridge, the front glass of an entry door was smashed at a business and the interior pharmacy glass window shattered. The cash registers were reported ransacked; however, there was no cash in those registers. It appeared pharmaceuticals may be missing; the owner had to take an inventory to be certain.
The burglary alarm was activated at 4 a.m.
Feb. 20
3000 block of Foothill Boulevard in La Crescenta, a man parked his vehicle in the Walgreens parking lot and when he returned found that the driver side window was smashed and the vehicle had been ransacked.
The vehicle burglary occurred between 4:30 p.m. and 10:15 p.m.
Feb. 18
2300 block of Florencita Avenue in Montrose, the front and rear passenger side windows were shattered and several items were reported missing overnight.
