The Cantabile Chamber Players will perform music by Johann Sebastian Bach on Saturday, March 23 at 1 p.m. at the Glendale Transportation Center’s historic Southern Pacific Railway Depot, 400 W. Cerritos Ave. in Glendale. The Spanish Colonial Revival railway depot is on the National Register of Historic Places. The performance is co-sponsored by the City of Glendale.
The performance is part of “Bach in the Subways,” which started with one cellist, Dan Henderson, playing in the New York subway to celebrate Bach’s birthday. His idea grew into a global movement with a weeklong celebration of Bach’s birthday in a diverse range of public places worldwide.
The event is free and open to the public and parking at the train station is also free.
